Shamirpet is located in Bolaram Cantonment, 27-km from Secunderabad, on Karimnagar Highway. It is an ideal picnic spot, which houses a lake and a Deer Park. It presents a picture of thick vegetation, which is very pleasing to the eyes. A thin stream flowing over a bed of huge rocks is an added attraction. There are many privately run dhabas offering excellent Punjabi cuisine.
